On Saturday, July 18, 2026, Southern Pacific (SP) 1017 is switching in Mission Bay Yard on the California Central Model Railroad Club (CCMRC) in the historic Agnew depot in Santa Clara, CA. My SP 1071 is an HO Proto 2000 model.
The real SP 1017 was an ALCo S1, SP Class DS-6. Reportedly: it was built in 1941, serial number 69465. It was retired in 1962 and scrapped.
