On Sunday, November 1, 2026, UP 5000 is at the Tri-City Society of Model Engineers (TCSME) model railroad club in the historic Niles depot in Fremont, CA. UP 5000 is my Scale Trains model.
The real UP 5000 was a GE U50C. Reportedly it was built in 1969, builder's number 37139, and scrapped in 1977.

On Monday, October 26, 2026, at College Park in San Jose, CA, Caltrain southbound train 140 pulled into the College Park stop to pick up students from Bellarmine College Preparatory school. This train connects with other trains going south to Gilroy. This trainset had the Caltrain (JPBX) Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) 306 and 305 "Ana Eshoo" cab cars as bookends.
JPBX 306 "Ana Eshoo" is a Stadler KISS Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) Cab Car. It is from an EMU KISS trainset. It's part of an order Caltrain placed in 2016 with Stadler, US.
