UP 2775 is a SD40M-2, UP Designation SD40-2. Reportedly: UP 2775, former SP 8699, was built in March 1967 by EMD as a model SD45, builders number 32638, CNW 915. In December 1994, after being rebuilt, the locomotive was released by Morrison-Knudsen to SP as SP 8699, an SD40M-2 SP Class EF630LK-2. Later becoming UP 2775, UP Designation SD40-2, 2650-2782 series. This locomotive was retired by UP in October 2010.
