Joint Powers Board (CalTrain) JPBX 901 is shoving on the rear of a northbound train 409 commute train in College Park in San Jose, CA at 3:44 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. This will not be seen much longer as these are soon to be retired! Cab car JPBX 4008 is on the lead.
JPBX 901 "San José" is an EMD F40PH-2, Caltrain Designation F40PH-2-CAT. Reportedly it was built by EMD in 1985 serial number 836077-2 as an F40PH. It was overhauled by Alstom in 1999. It is rated at 3200 hp and features a Caterpillar 6-cylinder HEP generator.
