SSW 3642, GP9

Cotton Belt (SSW) GP9 3642 sits in the sun in Phoenix, AZ on an unknown date in May 1972. I got this in trade and I wish I knew who the photographer of this was. I think it is a fellow named "Jerry". If it is yours, please let me know.
SSW 3642 is an EMD GP9, SP Class EF418C-1. Reportedly: it was built in 1957 builders number 24076, SSW 821, SSW Class Z-17.
In 1965 it was renumbered to SSW 3642 EMD GP9, SP Class EF418C-1
This locomotive was upgraded in 1975 becoming GP9 (GP9E) SSW 3811 SP Class EF418S-3.
The disposition of this locomotive is: Retired and sold in 1995. Presumed scrapped.
