Click Photo To Enlarge

Cotton Belt (SSW) 3642 sat in the sun in Phoenix, AZ on an unknown date in May 1972. I got this in trade. I wish I knew who the photographer of this was. I think it is a fellow named "Jerry". If it is yours, please let me know.
SSW 3642 was an EMD GP9, SP Class EF418C-1. Reportedly: it was built in 1957, builders number 24076, as SSW 821, SSW Class Z-17. In 1965 it was renumbered to SSW 3642. It was upgraded in 1975 becoming GP9E SSW 3811 SP Class EF418-CE3. Retired and sold in 1995. Presumed scrapped.
