Alligator in Eugene

Southern Pacific (SP) 5161 was working in Eugene yard in on an unrecorded date in August 1972. 
SP 5161 was an ALCo RSD15, DL600B, SP Class AS624-1. Reportedly, it was built in 1959, construction number 83484, as SP 4817 class DF-502. It was leased in 1960 to T&NO as 251. It became SP 5161 in the 1965 renumbering as class AF624-1. In 1972 it was reclassified to switcher Class AS624-1 and then renumbered SP 3101. Retired and sold May 1978.
