SP 6727 in Fresno


Southern Pacific (SP) U25B 6727 was sitting in the power pool in Fresno, CA in early 1978.
This is one of many scans I am revisiting with new tools and methods to obtain better results. Please do not edit, crop, "correct" or "improve" my photos without permission from me.
SP 6727 was a GE U25B, SP Class GF425-2. Reportedly: it was built in 1963 by, builders number 34697, as SP 7527, SP Class DF-622. In 1965 it was renumbered to SP 6727.
The reported disposition of this locomotive is: retired 1984, scrapped 1985.
