On a snowy Sunday, February 18, 1990, ATSF 5253 went through the crossovers in the town of Tehachappi, CA.
ATSF 5253 was an EMD SDP40F/SDF40-2. Reportedly: it was built in 1974 builder number 74611-51, as AMTK SDP40F 630. In 1984 it became ATSF 5253. In 1998 it became BNSF 6963.
