No April fool's joke! SP 2407 leads a set of C-415s at the City of Industry, California, on April 1, 1973.
SP 2407 is an ALCo C-415, SP Class AS415-1. Reportedly: it was in Dec. 1966, builder's number 3458-9. This was the last C-415 to operate for SP, being used at times in 1978 as the Taylor "Shop Dinky." Sold April 1979 to Chrome Crankshaft. Sold in June 1979 to the Cowlitz and Cascade 702. Sold 1989 to Oregon Coast Line Express. Became Burlington Junction Railway 702, Burlington, IA. Later in Quincy, IL? Current disposition unknown, scrapped?
