Feather River Railroad Society (FRRX, FRRS) 1644, former Long Island RR (LI) 604, resting at the FRRS in Portola, CA, on an unrecorded date in or around 1988. At the time of this photo there was talk of FRRS painting it as UP 1644, right after UP's real FA1s.
FRRX 1644 is an ALCo FA2 rebuilt into a power car. Reportedly: it was built in 1956,  builders number 81086, as LN 314. It was rebuilt into a power car on the Long Island RR, becoming owned LI 604. After retirement it went to the FRRS then to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL.
