PTC became part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). The 1052 was acquired from SEPTA in 1992 and rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen in 1993. This streetcar is painted to commemorate Los Angeles Railway (LARy). Los Angeles ran PCC streetcars from 1937 to 1963.
