At Drake, AZ, 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Clarkdale Arizona Central Railroad (AZCR) 2321, 2323 and 2602 were working at the Phoenix Cement Company.

AZCR 2321 is an EMD GP35. Reportedly it was built in 1964 as SP 7467, SP Class DF-623, builder's number 29553. It became SP 6579 Class EF425-2. SP retired and sold it in 1991-92.
Other numbers and reporting marks reportedly associated with this locomotive include WS 6579 and NPR 3506.

AZCR 2323 is an EMD GP35. Reportedly it was built in 1964 as SP 7707, SP Class DF-625, builder's number 29709. It became SP 6604 Class EF425-3. SP retired and sold it in 1991-92. Other numbers and reporting marks reportedly associated with this locomotive include WS 6604.

AZCR 2602 is an EMD/Paducah GP26. Reportedly it was built in 1963 by EMD as GM&O GP30 514, builders number 27918. GM&O 502 and 514 were to be the initial rebuilds of a program with GP30's similar to the prior Paducah rebuilds of other models. The program was discontinued for a variety of reasons after only two rebuilds were completed. Their journeys took them to the The Cimarron Valley Railroad (CVR) According to CVR engineer Dru Later (in 2008):
"They retained their 567 power plants, they have GE 752A traction motors and those rough riding ALCO trucks. They are tremendous pullers, and they are nicknamed the Clydesdales. These were actually demonstrators that Paducah produced to show the Southern Railway, who they were actually built for, was to go up against the EMD GP49 I believe. But the Southern decided to go with the EMD's and the 26's never made it to them. The units then went to NREX for leasing and then the (CVR sister RR) Southwestern came in and bought them." Reporting marks and numbers said to be associated with this locomotive include: SW 2602, ICG 2602, IC 2602, NREX 2602, AZCR 2602 and GMO 514.
